Disturbed – Asylum – Out now plus exclusive band Webcast !

After attempting to buy the new CD/DVD set yesterday at our local record store (HMV) and finding we couldn’t (grrr) we’ve now ordered the CD from Amazon (where its cheaper – woo!). Thankfully the impatient princesses within forced us to download the iTunes version this morning, which really helped the long train journey to work (don’t you just hate the day after a bank holiday weekend).

The Deluxe Edition contains live versions of Down With The Sickness & Stricken – tracks that will never get old.  The one track I can’t bring myself to listen to or get my head around is the U2 cover – why why why??? – to say we’re not fans is an understatement.

Anyway back to Asylum,  there’s a few tracks that stand out after the first listen as definite keepers! ‘The Animal’, ‘Asylum’, ‘Warrior’ and of course the first single ‘Another Way To Die’ all have that ‘growl’ factor that we’ve come to love of Disturbed – both musically and vocally.  Its an album you need to hear yourself, so get grab a copy blast it loud and enjoy!

Don’t miss the live band Webcast tonight (5.30pm, US-EST which is UK-10.30pm) If you missed the live show watch it now below!

Stone Sour – Audio Secrecy – live in NYC

So although we couldn’t be there in person we were excited to know that we’d be able catch it on the live stream!

If you missed it, you can watch it now or whenever you like either on their website or  their Ustream page… or below right here on DevilBearRock!

Gotta say definitely looking forward to getting our hands on Audio Secrecy next Monday – and bring on the UK tour with Avenged Sevenfold!

Don’t forget to pick up your copy of Audio Secrecy Next week and check the band out right now on the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival!

We’re testing our the UK Pre-order’s to see when they send out and deliver new releases. After Avenged Sevenfold’s Nightmare was apparently received days before the release by certain outlets, we wanted to find out if this was rumour or fact, so we’ve pre-ordered Audio Secrecy from two different outlets both at the same time to see when each will arrive!  We’ll let you know later in the week!

Papa Roach – Time For Annhilation!

Tomorrow’s a double hitter for our trip to the music store, Papa Roach’s ‘Time For Annhilation’ will be out in stores (UK) tomorrow, check out the trailer below.

We were gutted at Sonisphere due to traffic we missed most of their set, we got to hear it from the car park, lining up at the Press box office and managed to sneak in through a short cut/gap in the fencing to the front of the stage to see the last 2 songs of the set.  The crowd was huge and loved it.

Can’t wait to catch the guys on the Rockstar Energy Drink Taste Of Chaos tour with Disturbed this December!

If you haven’t seen Papa Roach live, go to www.paparoach.com and find a tour date near you, and go!

Check out our photo’s from last October, Papa Roach at Brixton Academy, London – the day Jacoby Shaddix broke Cheryl’s wrist :)

Edited:  Watch the live Papa Roach webcast on 31st August at 6pm (US PST – 2am for us in the UK)

Check it out on the Player below

Sonisphere 2010 Gallery Update: Corey Taylor

Corey Taylor at Sonisphere… what can we say?
I don’t think anyone needs to be told that Corey Taylor’s performance on the Bohemia Stage at Sonisphere was anything short of amazing.

Never before have I seen so many people squash into a tent, an open air tent that soon turned into a sauna of people chanting “Corey! Corey! Corey!” only to be answered with “Sucks! Sucks! Sucks!” from the man himself.

We apologise for the quality of the photographs, it’s not just the vast number of people all needing to see the magnificent Corey Taylor, but the gallons of evaporating sweat raising up above the crowd – yes we all dropped a dress size in there.  But we think there’s a couple of keepers!

Was it worth it? Hell yes!
Corey Taylor is one hell of a performer, whether he is tearing up the stage in a mask or doing Johnny Cash covers with an acoustic guitar as he was that day it’s always a fun and emotional show.

Click here to see the rest!

We can’t wait to see Corey live this coming October/November when Stone Sour hit the UK with Avenged Sevenfold, that is a match made in heaven for us.  We’re looking forward to HOPEFULLY covering the majority of tour,  so stay tuned for our memories, interviews, and maybe even you guys the fans!

Make sure you check out the new Stone Sour single ‘Say You’ll Haunt Me’ and the new Music video here on the official Stone Sour YouTube channel taken from the album ‘Audio Secrecy’ out September 6th(UK) & 7th(US).  Visit www.stonesour.com for more info!

Sonisphere 2010 Gallery update: Madina Lake
Sunday August 15th 2010, 10:16 pm

During the last day at Sonisphere we were lucky enough to get to watch Madina Lake from the side of the stage, it was definitely a cool experience, pretty daunting too looking out at the crowd!

Although of course bassist Matthew was not with them at Knebworth, the three members of Madina Lake gave it their all as Nathan ran and bounced around the stage bare foot. (Everytime we see these guys perform we think ‘eww we’ve seen bands spit on that stage!’)

Here’s a few shots we took.

To check out the full Sonisphere Festival Gallery (more Madina Lake shots in there too) – click here.

Make sure you take a minute to stop by the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund for Matthew Leone to help raise funds for the medical treatment.  After a tough few months, Matthew is on the mend but you can do your bit to help by checking out the auctions on eBay here with items donated from some of the music industries top stars in support!  Sweet Relief Musicians Fund eBay Auctions.

Sonisphere 2010 Gallery update: Good Charlotte
Thursday August 12th 2010, 11:06 pm

We promised a gallery update and here it is, the Good Charlotte collection from Sonisphere Festival earlier this month! We’ve possibly got some footage still to come and a few bits here and there but check out the Sonisphere Gallery.

What can we say about Good Charlotte’s performance at Sonisphere?  They definitely brought in a crowd, there was a variety of people watching, singing along, and everyone there knew at least 1 of the songs well enough to sing along to.  They put on a great show and had the festival goers at the Apollo stage on the sunny Saturday afternoon pumped up throughout the set.

During the set the band paid tribute to Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan and had the crowd cheering and chanting with them as they sang The River (a song Good Charlotte released featuring A7X’s M Shadows and Synyster Gates), you can check out more info and the video in this post here. Thanks to DeathBatNews and DCMA Collective for helping us share that video with the fans and posting it on their websites.

Click the images below to go to the Gallery!

Good Charlotte are currently getting ready to release their new album, Cardiology (Out this November).

Check out the first single ‘Like It’s Her Birthday’ released later this month, below or  check out www.goodcharlotte.com for more details.

We’ve still got some more Sonisphere photos and videos to come – but life just keeps getting in the way.
