The Dirty Youth at The Borderline, London

You may recognise the name The Dirty Youth from previous posts, the five-piece from South Wales, they’ve had a pretty big year since their acoustic slot at Download Festival in June 2011.

In September they released their debut single, the powerful and ever so catchy “Fight” see here.

Then came the release of their album “Red Light Fix” available to purchase now.

In February 2012, The Dirty Youth landed a support slot on Korn’s European tour dates after posting an acoustic cover of “Narcissistic Cannibal” and impressing the band’s own Munky (Korn guitarist).

On Friday night (20th April), we headed on down to The Borderline in London where The Dirty Youth headlined a sold out event.

The venue was filled to the brim by the time the Welsh rockers hit the stage, running through their album and even delving into their older material that their dedicated fans thrived in, many of them had travelled from South Wales to be there. Front-woman

Danni Monroe delivered with both her stage presence and her powerful vocals, leaving not one person bored for a second during their full set, finishing up with a mash up of Rage Against The Machine’s “Killing In The Name Of” and “Boom! Shake The Room” by DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince getting everyone bouncing and joining in, making it a perfect way to end the night.  These five driven youngsters know how to rock a room, and no doubt you’ll be seeing alot more of them soon.
