Devil Bear Rock is the home of our blog and memories of our adventures – there’ll also be a few random blogs and sharing of things we recommend too.
The site is the base of our book ‘Fan Girls on Tour’ and we want Fans from all over the world to be involved, along with the bands. Already we’ve had interest from Fan Sites, Bands and Management alike on this project.
Our challenge is to show the good and the bad from both points of view! We want your views!
ABOUT CHERYL & REBECCA
Cheryl has lived in London her whole life, spending most of her childhood as a shy tomboy, climbing trees, playing sports and doing what kids do. After trying various career paths, including travel and media but her passion always seemed to bring her back to music. When she discovered her other passion for photography it allowed her to combine the two things together.
By day, Cheryl is a Social Media Manager within the music industry, a dreamer, and a gadget addict. She tweets, she photographs and writes. Her dreams and ambitions will hopefully lead her further into the industry she is passionate about; making a difference for the fans.
If you meet her say hello, buy her a Jack & Coke, feel free to come bearing candy.

Bec grew up in a tiny village, on top of a mountain in Wales. With only sheep as companions it’s little wonder she enjoyed being bussed into catholic school and hardly surprising how she turned out, but then as the song goes ‘you know how us catholic girls can be…’ After school, Bec went on to study Geophysics at university, gaining both a Bachelors and Masters degree specialising in earthquake seismology
And then, due to the utter lack of earthquakes in the UK, she moved to Japan to teach English and hopefully feel the earth move in one of the world’s most seismically active countries. She returned 2 years later with a complete vocabulary of Japanese dirty words and the knowledge that she had the superpower of sleeping through earthquakes, to this day has still never felt one. As it appears that no mattress company wanted this super skill and to use Bec as chief tester, she now lives in London, working for an oil company.
Bec likes to read, write and eat Gummibears. She is a gym addicted, beef eating vegetarian and if you meet her do say hello, compliment her hair and buy her a Jack & Coke with a squeeze of lime.

Fan Girls On Tour Synopsis
A professional 20something girl is out of uni; is in possession of a Dyson and a funky looking spice rack she saw in Tesco; she picked the colour of her new car to match something she loves…and possibly the number plate. To her, those 25 days holiday from the professional job are heaven. She has no cares – no kids, no nagging husband, no need to worry about who’ll feed the cat. She is free to do whatever she god damn wants to do: nurse a hangover on a beach in Ibiza catching skin cancer, backpack around Vietnam, Shop in New York or visit that freaky mouse at Disney Land.
And then there are the girls that say “Oh my god I love that band!” Taking their vacation to correspond with a bands tour schedule…and then have to put up with everyone else’s reactions:
‘You’ve seen the band once, why again?’
‘5 shows in 7 days! Surely 1 would be enough!’
‘Can’t you just buy the live DVD?’
‘The bands just see you as stalkers!’
‘So you’re a groupie?’
‘How many drummers have you slept with?’
Don’t you think it’s funny that no one asks the above questions of a man with a season ticket going to see Manchester United every week?
She’s not a ‘groupie’ – someone that seeks to sleep with celebrities for status – or a ‘stalker’ – someone who collects toe nail clippings of said celebrity and all their living relatives.
She is a having fun with her girlfriends, she is enjoying good music, she is collecting bruises in moshpits, she is possibly hoping a guitarist/drummer/singer and in the rare case bassist notices her and if she’s lucky she’s partying with him….or he’ll just say ‘Hi’ either way she’s loving it!
By day, Cheryl is a Social Media Manager within the music industry, a dreamer, and a gadget addict. She tweets, she photographs and writes. Her dreams and ambitions will hopefully lead her further into the industry she is passionate about; making a difference for the fans,
