The fellas at Thrash Hits had a chat with Jerry Horton at Sonisphere. Check out the video here, but watch out for the wasp attack!
Incidentally we saw Tobin and Tony that night in the bar, they seemed to be in good spirits

Yay! Yep, one of the shots we took for the Sacred Mother Tongue boys at Sonisphere made it onto one of the Sonisphere reviews at onemetal.com
The shot of Josh Gurner on the Jagermeister truck says it all about the energy of the bands performance really.
You can check out the iPhone shot video of the infamous “Joshpit” below…
Last week we had the pleasure of spending the day with our friends in Sacred Mother Tongue at Sonisphere as they took to the Jagermeister Stage to an impressive crowd. Despite going on at the same time as the popular Skindred, on the main stage, SMT still brought their own.
The guys are a band with bags of talent, energy and ambition and even better…a bass player who doesn’t believe in staying on the stage!
The band’s manager, Rob Ferguson, has now coined the phrase ‘The Josh-Pit’ for SMT’s bassist, Josh Gurner’s Festival antics which he took to a new level at Sonisphere (last year at Download Festival he jumped into the pit), he leapt of the stage after eyeing up the bright orange two-storey Jagermeister truck bar, climbed the stairs to play to the crowd before running down to create ‘The Josh-Pit’ - definitely a highlight of the day for us!

Our good friends Sacred Mother Tongue performed in London this past Friday night with Metal Hammer’s Dom Lawson a cover of Pantera’s “Cowboys From Hell” – Check it out below!

Last weekend Good Charlotte performed to a huge crowd at Sonisphere Festival.
They took a moment to dedicate their song “The River” – which the single featured M Shadows and Synyster Gates of Avenged Sevenfold, to Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan.
Here’s a clip of the dedication as requested, more videos and photos coming soon.
We love up and coming bands and IMICUS are definitely one British band you should be checking out. Here’s some shots Cheryl took at a recent gig they did in Northampton with label mates Sacred Mother Tongue as they prepared for their recent Sonisphere appearance (photos of that coming up too).

That was a long day! We set out early to avoid traffic problems, but it was worth it, after a quick breakfast at the Festival we slipped over to the Main Stage and got to watch Madina Lake from the side of the stage. They were great and the crowd looked amazing and energetic.
Next up we raced over to the Jagermeister Stage for Sacred Mother Tongue, the crowd were great and there was a great turn out. Looked scary and big from the side of the stage! We then spent the most of the day in the press area with the band before spending the evening catching up with a pal we bumped into in VIP to do a A7X Nightmare Number 5 in the UK Charts victory dance!
Now to recover, sort out the photos and sleep!
Here’s til next time!
What a day that was. Yesterday was hectic, rushed, starting with disappointing points because of the ridiculous traffic problems. Actually getting into Sonisphere’s car park – took forever as the signs has been stolen! Then we ended up missing 90% of the Papa Roach set. But what we saw. WOW.
Despite being on at 3pm, fairly early in the day and the moans that had been flung about when they were added to the line up. The main stage at Sonisphere was absolutely heaving, it was packed, the crowd were cheering, singing along and totally rocking out to the amazing performance of the 4 piece band we all know and love.
When they left the stage thousands and thousands of festival goers departing the main stage area. Clearly happy customers! This made us happy!
Good Charlotte had an amazing reception, and bags of energy storming through all the hits and dedicating The River to Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan, and told everyone to go buy Nightmare. Love those fellas!
…and last but not least…. Corey F**king Taylor. What can we say. As usual – amazing.
Right that’s all for now, today is a day where work will be required!
By for now!
Today is the birthday of the one, the only, the incredible, M Shadows. A man who needs no introduction.
A year ago this weekend was an amazing experience for us, it was when Avenged Sevenfold headlined the 2nd Stage at the first ever Sonisphere Festival right before Metallica hit the stage. Poised right at the front barrier we were able to capture what we feel was the bands energy that day, memories we will treasure always.
This year we celebrate both Matt’s birthday and the anniversary of that day (this Sunday) at Sonisphere Festival. We feel truly honored by the memories and the friends we made that day and we know when we see that Stage on site, we’ll think of Jimmy.
With that said Happy Birthday M Shadows!! A truly lovely fella!
If you haven’t already, to celebrate Matt’s birthday go out and buy a copy of NIGHTMARE, out now in stores! Visit www.avengedsevenfold.com or www.deathbatnews.com for more A7X updates.
Tonight Avenged Sevenfold will stream their concert live from Syracuse on their Ustream channel. Midnight UK time (7pm US-EDT/4pm US-PDT)….
