Avenged Sevenfold have been truly been through the wringer this year. The band, their friends and families and fans alike have been filled with emotion, turmoil and sadness. Through this despite the gut wrenching gap they must have felt, they’ve managed to pull through and create what has been said to be an album that will change the world. Reviews from both publications and fans that have had the opportunity have sent chills down the spines of the anticipated readers.
Aside for the obvious reasons regarding why we love Avenged Sevenfold; being their amazing talent in writing, performing and creating those complicated twists and turns that makes them truly unique in the industry, the other thing which has always drawn us to the band is the way they truly feel about their fans, the fan community is their family and they’ve said this all along, and we believe them now more than ever.
The past 24 hours or so has been an amazing experience for a close friend of ours who had the opportunity to fly out to LA to hear the album and hang out with Zacky Vengeance and M Shadows, the label, and management as her reward for her dedicated hard work. The outcome is a truly breathtaking review by DeathBatNews. Congratulations.
The band are truly dedicated to their fans, and Matt has admitted he regularly checks DeathBatNews, Zacky Vengeance a short while back posted messages in the comments for the fans and this shows they want to ensure they had a fan review the album, they wanted to hear the views of the community.
We’ve been asked why we support DeathBatNews, there’s also a new banner on our homepage. After getting to know various fans, fansites, magazines and so forth we wanted to ensure that we found the right one that matched our views, our thoughts… our morals. DeathBatNews is a website that is respected by both the band and the label, we respect them for ensuring only relevant news is posted, they ensure carefully that their posts are delicately written when dealing with potentially upsetting updates, and they ensure their posts are unique. We’ve seen various fansites who take their updates from DeathBatNews. Over the past few months we’ve seen firsthand how hard DBN works, and the fan community who back it, submit news stories and the publications that respect the site (Metal Hammer). They truly embody the family feeling. We salute you DBN.
This is definitely one band that has had our support for some time, and we’re nervous, excited, scared and anxious to hear the album ourselves. We predict it may be hard to get through without a box of tissues, but we’re confident we’ll not be disappointed.
